A:Try the following:
- Make sure you set right baud rate for Magellan GPS receivers (check baud rate in GPS settings and set the same in the program)
- Try to turn off/on the GPS
- Sometimes USB to COM (Serial) connectors can cause instability
- Make sure COM port is not locked by another program, try to reboot the system
- Make sure for Garmin devices the protocol is set to 'Garmin' in the GPS
